Description
The Art of Entertaining Course Starkey has been teaching the Art of Entertaining for over 4 decades. It is an art form when one is entertaining for one’s employer. Starkey will present its famous “Entertainment Event Planner” which teaches how to organize the “Order of Service”. You will be able to sit with your Employer and learn their perception of what is to be experienced, who the guests are, their allergies and alcohol preferences, and which style of service your Employer prefers. We cover the details of Table Settings, the four Table Service Styles, about china, silver and glassware and their proper use, Champagne and Wine Service, and the process for hosting the complete Formal Dinner planning from the Emily Post tradition. If one knows the traditional art, one can always alter or fine-tune it to fit the requests of your Principal. We will also cover the care of fine China, Silver, and Crystal, basic flower arrangements, proper use of candles, and ultimately menu development. We will end the course with an actual formal dinner typically given to non-profit organizations to help them raise money.
