Stay at the beautiful Starkey Mansion where rooms and meals are included with tuition price. A maximum of six students will have the opportunity to learn the knowledge it takes to succeed in the Household Management profession.

Starkey Service Management Course

Offered to qualified candidates to be completed at the Starkey Institute. 40 Hours – 5 Days
The Starkey Service Management System Course runs on a recurring quarterly schedule.

Starkey’s Service Management “Systems” Program is a 40-hour, five-day course taught online or at the Starkey Institute in Denver for individuals who are working in Private Service or have a Private Service background. Our unique Service Management System instructs students how to identify service expectations and how to customize a service delivery plan. This patented Management tool is a highly sophisticated process for identifying, organizing and prioritizing household staff duties and service expectations. Unique to the service profession, it provides a management foundation for Private Service. It includes Terminology, Zoning for Housekeeping, Maintenance and Security Task Sheets. This system synthesizes service delivery hours, identifies position descriptions and provides a user-friendly process for customizing a service delivery plan.

It is considered continuing education for our Graduates, as it brings the newest management tools available to their skill set. Our process for customizing an overall Service Management Plan, Starkey’s Service Language for identifying Service Expectations, and for delivering a very high Standard of Service are all detailed in this course. It includes all of Starkey’s Management Tools for Private Service, Standards Matrix, Technical Skills Qualifier, Day in the Life, Ten Service Standard Categories, Service Matrix and more. The Systems course is also taught as a Correspondence Course guided by a Starkey Instructor through videos, written assignments, textbooks and live conversations, allowing students 45 days to complete the course. Food and Housing is provided at the Starkey Mansion as part of the Curriculum Fee.

 

 

The Relationship of Service Course

Offered to qualified candidates to be completed at the Starkey Institute. 40 Hours – 5 days
The Starkey Relationship of Service Course runs on a recurring quarterly schedule.

February 13th, June 8th-12th, 10th-14th, October 26th-30th

Starkey’s The Relationship of Service Program presents a course for you to create your Personal Statement. It is a 40-hour, five-day course taught online, or at the Starkey Institute in Denver. This course will show you the process and path to identifying your perfect position. We will guide you in developing your Personal Statement and identifying the perfect position for you and the reason for choosing Service. It includes learning about your Morals, Values and Ethics in relation to a Private Service position. It also helps you think about how your family background informs your service and your Top Four Service Standards and Abilities (what are you bringing to the table in a position?).  Lastly, you will learn about your unique Service Style and how to interview for your perfect position.

Starkey International has spent many years developing a system geared toward interview preparation and presentation. Mrs. Starkey and the Director of Education have learned to fine-tune Placement requirements, as our system incorporates the personal, psychological and technical abilities of our Graduates so that we can perfectly match you with a potential employer. This course must be completed face-to-face at the Starkey Mansion so that we can understand the Graduate’s personality, Style of Service and unique placement expectations. Placement must be a win-win for our clients and our Graduates in order to be successful for the long-term. Food and housing is provided at the Starkey Mansion as part of the curriculum fee.

 

The Fine Housekeeping for the Private Home Course

Offered to qualified candidates to be completed at the Starkey Institute. 40 Hours – 5 days
The Fine Housekeeping for the Private Home Course runs on a recurring quarterly schedule.

February 24th, June 22nd-26th, August 24th-28th, November 16th-20th

Starkey’s Fine Housekeeping for the Private Home: Housekeeping is to Household Management as bookkeeping is to Accounting. If you don’t know it, you can’t really supervise Housekeepers or train them. It’s an integral part of a Household Manager’s knowledge. Starkey International is offering a 40-hour (five-day) course for Household Managers to come out knowing what fine housekeeping means.
This course is only offered at the Starkey Mansion. Food and  housing is provided at the Starkey Mansion as part of the curriculum fee.
