Starkey’s Entertainment Planner This publication presents Starkey’s approach to setting and attaining Private Service Standards especially in Entertaining. This Entertainment Planner addresses what does the employer actually want, and hopes to accomplish in an entertaining event. Whose coming, what are their food allergies or alcohol preferences; is it a birthday, a retirement, a charity event, or just Sunday’ family dinner? This publication presents step by step how to organize an event, both technical and staff organization needs. It was developed over 20 years to support the Starkey Entertainment Curriculum offering detailed planning and comprehensive operations and support for formal dinners to barbecues and all in between. We used this in all entertainment courses as we always put on Formal dinner, with nine courses, beautifully accurate place settings, formal service, and where guests wore their finest for the occasion. It comes with user-friendly forms and descriptions that address all questions. Print it out and have one that typically works for family occasions, another for business occasions, another for VIP’s, and where cultural or formal requirements are required. It also have suggestions shared by Mrs. Starkey on how to run a formal table or event. She hosted a formal dinner at the Starkey Mansion for over 25 years. This also is wonderful for training staff, letting caterers know what your expectations are, and of course for the Private Chef in helping to choose just the right culinary menu and wines.
